Vitaweb: Intelligent External Web Resources Manager

The use of external web resources is common in many e-learning and online learning systems. Hyperlinks to these external web resources are however prone to errors because of the ethereal nature of web resources - the content can be deleted, changed, or the host server is down.

Vitaweb is an an external web resources manager for e-learning systems. It is designed to provide autonomous functions for solving the broken link problem. The functions of Vitaweb include the following:

  • Monitor and report broken links.

  • Monitor content change in external web resources.

  • Suggest alternative or mirror web resources when an existing one has disappeared
