Tutorials

Although correspondence tuition and telephone tutoring are the central and continuing teaching processes in the OUHK system, students can get further support by meeting their tutors and classmates at the tutorial sessions held regularly. Normally, 30 to 40 students are allocated to one tutorial group. Tutorials are conducted in the form of group discussion on issues arising from the course. You should therefore read the course materials before and get yourself prepared for discussion at the tutorial. No lecturing will be conducted at tutorials. The attendance of tutorials is optional. Students can also choose their preferred time and venue to attend the tutorials through the Tutorial Group Selection System (TGSS).

As tutorial groups are restricted to a particular size, group places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Students will receive the tutorial schedule and the detailed instructions on how to use and when to use the TGSS enrolled at the First Round Registration.
