New Faces


Dr Han Yang, Assistant Professor in Language and Translation, has a BA and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of York, UK. She has taught linguistics and languages at a number of universities in Britain, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. Dr Han is a recipient of a Teaching Excellence Award from the National University of Singapore and has published four authored and co-authored books and numerous journal articles.
Dr Elena Keung, Assistant Professor in General Business Studies, has a PhD in Finance from the University of Houston, USA. She taught at Massey University in New Zealand and the Chinese University of Hong Kong before coming to the OUHK. Her research interests include financial institutions, risk management and asset allocation.
Ms Linda Lee, Lecturer in Nursing, obtained her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. A registered nurse and midwife, Ms Lee has worked in the Hospital Authority and published two research studies on the work of midwives.
Dr Siufung Lin, Lecturer in Psychology, has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Birmingham. Her expertise is in the psychology of children's drawings and the psychology of art. Dr Lin also started her academic life in Birmingham. Besides carrying out research at the University of Birmingham, she was involved in training artists and designers at the University of Central England and in teaching Developmental Psychology at Staffordshire University before she joined the OUHK.
Dr Lynn Pi, Assistant Professor in Banking and Finance, received her PhD in Finance from Georgia State University, USA. Since 1992, she has taught at the California State University, Hayward (CSUH). She has also served as ad hoc reviewer for several journals, as well as discussant and chair at conferences. Her professional consulting experience includes establishing an offshore MBA programme run by the CSUH for Hong Kong students.
Ms Brossa Wong, Lecturer in General Business Studies, obtained her MSc in Management Science from the University of London. A fellow of some professional bodies including the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, Ms Wong has worked in the Government's Inland Revenue Department and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research interests are the taxation systems of Hong Kong and mainland China, and she has published numerous articles on these topics.
Mr Boyce Yung, Lecturer in Law, received his Bachelor degree in Public and Social Administration from the City University of Hong Kong, and his Bachelor and Master of Law degrees from the University of London. He is a solicitor of the High Court of Hong Kong and the Supreme Courts of England and Wales. He has also worked as Executive Officer in the Hong Kong Government, Civic Education Coordinator at the Vocational Training Council and as a practising solicitor in law firms.
