On 12 December last year, Prof. Wei Yu, Chinese Vice-Minister of Education, officiated at the opening ceremony of the OUHK's Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional and Continuing Education. She delivered a lecture entitled 'Embracing the Challenges by Leaping Development of Education', which outlined new measures to step up the development of education in China through distance learning.
