In view of the good response from students towards the 'Excelling Yourself -- Personal Development' talks, the Student Affairs Office launched the second 'Excelling Yourself' series -- this time focussing on career development -- in November and December last year. The organizers hoped that the activities would inform students and graduates about the current job market, as well as equipping them for challenges in the competitive work environment. As in the previous series, students' responses were very enthusiastic.

This series consisted of six talks and workshops, on topics such as 'Office Savvy', 'Job Market Trend and E-Recruitment', 'Psychometric Test Workshop', 'Office Etiquette and Image Workshop', 'Tips on Writing Application Letters and Interviewing Skills' and 'HKSAR Government Civil Service Bureau Recruitment Talk on Executive Officer II and Administrative Officer Grade'.

Second chance to go through them again

Those who missed the series may go to the Library's Reserve Collection to borrow the audio or video tapes (except the CSB Recruitment Talk) and watch them inside the Library.
