This degree involves coursework (40 credits) and a thesis (50 credits
equivalent).
Aim
The principal aim of the programme is to make a significant contribution
to the advanced professional and academic development of those concerned
with education and allied fields, to the ultimate benefit of the wider
educational community.
Structure
Course work
Students have to take two 20-credit postgraduate level Education
courses from the following list:

Thesis
Each student will carry out a piece of research with the guidance of one or two supervisors. The following two research areas will be available for the October 2002 intake:
Entry requirement
The basic requirement is a recognized Master's degree, by research or
coursework, in Education or a related area.
Selection of applicants
The selection procedure includes the submission of a research proposal
and an interview.
