8.30 AM: Registration
9.00 AM: Opening Ceremony
9.30 AM: Workshop Session 1- Introduction to QA
  This will include a brief introduction to the jargon and background. Small groups would be given an opportunity to check their understanding through general examples.
10.40 AM: Refreshment break
11.00 AM: Workshop Session 2- Establishing a QA culture in a DE institution
  This will focus on the need to emphasise the difference between imposing a system and facilitating the evolution of one from the bottom-up. Small groups will discuss the appropriateness of this and how it might be achieved. They should also discuss motivation for formalizing quality and how this affects the approach adopted.
12.30 PM: Lunch
2.00 PM:    Workshop Session 3- The QA  Framework and its potential role
  A brief discussion of how the framework is intended to be used and its general structure. Small groups will then discuss the relevance of the framework and of the strategy to have workshops and external expertise ready to advise. At this stage no detailed discussion of its contents is expected.
3.30 PM:    Refreshment break
4.00 PM: Workshop Session 4- The role of Senior Management in implementing a QA system
  This will focus on sections 1-3 of the QA Framework. Small groups should discuss in detail specific areas of these sections to ensure that they understand the implications and gain experience in the approaches that can be taken to solve problems encountered.
5.30 PM: End of day one of workshop

9.00 AM: Workshop Session 5-Programme and course development
  Discussion will center on Sections 4-6 of the Framework and supported by exercises on specific areas.
10.30 AM: Refreshment break
11.00 AM: Workshop Session 6- Learner support
 
Discussion will focus on Sections 7-8 of the Framework and again supported with exercises.
12.30 PM: Lunch
2.00 PM: Workshop Session 7- Selecting appropriate media
  This will discuss QA issues with particular reference to online education to illustrate the last section of the Framework.
3.30 PM:    Refreshment break
4.00 PM:   

Workshop Session 8-Potential hazards and summing up

  This will be centered on discussing problems that institutions need to be aware of in developing any QA system/culture. Small groups will discuss ways of avoiding these.
5.30 PM: Closing Remarks and presentation of certificates.
7.30 PM Workshop Banquet

In each session one Facilitator will make a short presentation of 20-30 minutes. Subsequently, participants will be divided into three small groups with each being led by one of the remaining Facilitators.  The presenting Facilitator will play a roving role to ensure that the right direction is being followed in the small group discussions
