Fees, Government’s Subsidy Schemes and Entrance Scholarships

Tuition Fees

 

The tuition fees payable for each academic year will be determined by the number of credits of the courses taken by a student. A student is normally required to take 40 credits in an academic year.

Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme for Self-financing Undergraduate Studies (NMTSS)

 

 

OUHK’s self-financing undergraduate programmes (excluding SSSDP and Higher Diploma Programmes) are eligible for this Subsidy Scheme. All eligible local students will be provided with a non-means-tested annual subsidy up to HK$31,300 depending on the number of credits of the courses taken.
 
Students’ eligibility for this Subsidy Scheme is subject to the fulfillment of stipulated requirements set by the Education Bureau (EDB). For details of the scheme and eligible programmes, please visit http://www.cspe.edu.hk/content/nmt-annual-subsidy.
 
     

 

Study Subsidy Scheme for Designated Professions/Sectors (SSSDP)

 

 

 

Local students admitted to OUHK’s SSSDP programmes are eligible for an annual study subsidy of up to HK$41,700 (non-laboratory-based programmes) or HK$72,800 (laboratory-based programmes), contingent on the number of credits of the courses taken.

Entrance Scholarship

 

 

OUHK offers entrance scholarship of HK$40,000 to outstanding undergraduate students during the admission stage. All applicants who have received an admission offer will be considered for the entrance scholarship automatically. No separate application will be required.

Students who are able to achieve a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) at 3.3 or above after admission may continue to receive a scholarship in subsequent years of study.
 
 

 

 

The selected students will be informed of the scholarship offers by email and/or SMS on the JUPAS Main Round Offers announcement date (5 August 2019).
 
 

 

 

Notifications of the scholarship offers:
  • will be made prior to deadline for settling the balance of tuition payment in July 2019 or
  • will be issued together with the admission offer.
