Biography
Ir Dr. Li Chi Ho Jimmy is an Assistant Professor in the School of Science and Technology. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) from City University of Hong Kong, Master of Engineering (M.Eng) from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Master of Business Administration (MBA) from City University of Hong Kong and Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng) from The Open University of Hong Kong. He received best presenter award and champion award of business strategy consultancy project competition in China listed company (Dalian Friendship (Group) Co., Ltd.); and best paper award finalist in the IEEE-IPSCE symposium 2018 in US. He published over 40 peer-reviewed international journal and conference papers, and presented his conference papers in UK, US, Australia, Singapore and China. He also secured over HK$14.5 million in the UGC-funded (e.g. FDS, IIDS, RMGS) and other reserach grants. Ir Dr. Li is a Chartered Engineer in United Kingdom and Registered Professional Engineer (RPE) in Hong Kong. He is active in the academia, engineering and quality professional institutions. Currently, he serves as International Professional Registration Advisor (IPRA) and Interviewer (IPRI) in global chartership institutions (e.g. IET, IMechE, InstMC); Technical Committee Member of American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM); Hong Kong Observer of Technical Committee in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO); Registered QMS Auditor in Hong Kong and China; Chairman of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering Section (MIES) of the IET Hong Kong; Honorary Treasurer of HKIE Manufacturing, Industrial and Systems (MIS) division; and Vice Chairman of IEEE Product Compliance and Safety Engineering Society (Hong Kong Chapter). Before joining OUHK, Ir Dr. Li has extensive experience in new product research and development (R&D) and productivity analysis, innovation and technology strategy planning and key performance indictors (KPI) consultancy in manufacturing plants, multinational corporations and consultancy firm (e.g. HKPC) respectively for over 15 years.
