    Established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989 as a provider of distance education, OUHK began offering full-time face-to-face degree programmes in 2001. Over the years we have grown into a leader in open and flexible education in the Asia Pacific region, and our full-time face-to-face programmes for qualified secondary school leavers are on par with other established universities across Hong Kong. OUHK today is a young, dynamic, full-fledged university.

    Today we have over 9,500 full-time and 10,000 part-time students in the four Schools at the OUHK with about 220 programmes of studies.  In addition, there are about 2,500 full-time/part-time students studying in LiPACE.
    We are now inviting application(s) for the following post in the School of Arts and Social Sciences:
    Part-time Teaching Assistant (Ref: 17-PTTA-279-J)
    Duties & Requirements
    The appointee(s) will be required to assist in, and where necessary, undertake course planning, development, co-ordination and delivery of the full-time face-to-face undergraduate programmes. Major duties include conducting tutorials, marking assignments/examination scripts and performing other related teaching and administrative duties.  Requirements for relevant course are as follows:
    • Mobile Culture and Communication in the Digital Era   
    Applicants should possess a recognized degree in digital media, mobile culture, communication or a relevant discipline, with a focus on digital culture and mobile communication for contemporary information society and creative economy. Preference will be given to those with a relevant higher degree and teaching experience at tertiary level.
    The appointee(s) will be required to work during daytime on campus for the period from September 2017 to January 2018 for a maximum of 17 hours per week.
    Terms of Appointment
    Successful candidate(s) will be appointed on a temporary part-time fixed term contract.  Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions.
