  • Concentrates on master-level applied psychology for organizational, consumer behavioural and general decision-making activities that are closely tied to the growth of individuals and society as a whole
  • Offers teaching of both theoretical principles and research skills expected of a competent social scientist
  • Prepares individuals of diverse backgrounds for the realm of applied psychology
 
Learning outcomes
 
Upon completion of the programme, students will be able to:
  • Critically review and consolidate the respective knowledge of three key applied psychology areas, namely work and organizational psychology, consumer psychology and behavioural decision-making;
  • Describe and critique key issues in applied psychology;
  • Design and apply appropriate research methodologies to study and address questions in applied psychology;
  • Evaluate the quality of research designs and against scientific criteria and professional ethics; and
  • Communicate effectively the concepts and arguments of applied psychology.
