Special Features

  • The programmes aim at providing students with more advanced and up-to-date knowledge of research, theories, interventions, and therapies for children with Autism Spectrum  Disorder (ASD).

  • Taught by professional clinical, counselling, educational psychologists and other relevant mental health practitioners.

  • For Bachelor's degree holders from related disciplines. The programmes are also suitable for health care professionals, occupational therapists, nurses, social workers, teachers, and parents, who are interested in enriching and deepening their knowledge in ASD or improve their academic and professional standing.

Professional Recognition

The programme is now recognized by the Hong Kong Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) as a Continuing Professional Development Course/Activity (CPD). 

Students who successfully complete the master’s programme can earn up to 500 CDP points.

Entry Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, counselling or other relevant disciplines, from a recognized program

 

  • A bachelor's degree in any discipline, or equivalent, from a recognized program

 

  • Basic understanding of psychological, health, or educational research methods is preferred

 

  • A good command of English

 

Programme of study
  • 8 Courses + Master's Capstone Project for 60 credits
  • 8 Courses for 40 credits
  • 4 Courses for 20 credits
  • A 1-year full-time or 2-year part-time study
  • Face-to-face teaching mode
  • Lectures in weekday evenings and/or weekend afternoons

* Tentative Programme Fee: $1575 per credit (Subject to annual adjustment from the University)
