Course offerings

Mode of study and assessment
All core courses are delivered on a face-to-face basis. The classes are to be held during weekday evenings or weekends. Part-time tutorships are available. Students will be evaluated by assignments, projects, oral presentations, quizzes and/or examinations.

Notes for full-time students:
  • The study pattern listed above is compulsory.
  • Students should take either TRAN A836BF or TRAN A852BF, whose decision should be approved by the Programme Leader.
  • Electives are offered in different semesters. You are strongly advised to take note of this matter and plan your study as early as you are enrolled in this programme in order to ensure graduation in one calendar year.
Notes for part-time students:
  • Course choices should be based on the plan to graduate within two years. Please make sure it is to your perfect knowledge that TRAN A802BF and TRAN A805BF are prerequisites for TRAN A852BF. TRAN A852BF Translation Project and TRAN A832BF Advanced Translation are advanced level courses and are therefore suggested to be attended at a later stage of your study.
  • Students should take either TRAN A836BF or TRAN A852BF, whose decision should be approved by the Programme Leader.
  • Electives are offered in different semesters or even in different months in a year. You are strongly advised to take note of this matter and plan your study as early as you are enrolled in this programme.
