The programme aims to provide students with the essential knowledge of tree management and to enable them to provide proper suggestions for mitigating tree risk and to prepare an assessment report..
Upon completion of the programme, participants should be able to:
Understand the ecology, biology and agronomical aspects of trees;
Master the practical skills of tree management necessary for performance up to professional standards;
Design and implement a tree risk management plan;
Assess hazardous defects in trees through visual observation;
Suggest measures to rectify hazardous defects in trees; and
Recommend preventive measures to maintain the health of trees.

Supervisory staff in tree management and general public who are interested in this area.

A 3-day on-site training will be provided
Recommended Admission Qualifications
Level 2 in HKDSE or grade E in HKCEE English language.
Students are required to have an overall pass in each course assessment. The passing mark is 50%.
