“One’s destination is never a place but a new way of seeing things.” – Henry Miller
The School advocates learning through co-curricular activities. Since 2017, the School has initiated and incorporated Global Immersion Programme in the curriculum of full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students. To explore the fast-changing business world and intercultural issues, students engage in intercultural awareness and communication training, overseas study tour and global business executive development.
In January 2019, seven groups of students joined a 2-week study tour to Singapore, Malaysia and Brisbane, Australia. Apart from regular classes in partner institutions, students also visited leading firms and networked with business leaders. The experience enhanced students’ soft skills in management, and provided a platform for them to explore their potential as a business leader.
‘In this tour, I got a chance to meet new friends from different backgrounds, which allowed me reflect on my strengths and weaknesses,’ a student shared. Through overseas exposure, students were able to gain more in-depth knowledge on the disciplines and embrace the differences through cultural exchange.
