Research Strengths
|
We organize innovative interdisciplinary research across the School and beyond. Our latest research activities focus on cross-cultural themes, which include a lecture series on international dialogue featuring speakers from various parts of the world, and the conferences “Culture in Translation: International Reception of Chinese Literature” and “The New vs the Old: International Conference on Literature and Intellectual Thinking in Late Qing and Early Republican China” (推陳致新──清末民初文學與思想國際學術研討會). The School has recently set up an Research Institute for Digital Culture & Humanities (RIDCH), the first and only research hub that focuses on digital culture and humanities in Hong Kong. Our staff members have a successful record in obtaining research grants from funding bodies such as the Research Grants Council and the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. |
