Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointees will mainly assist the Principal Investigator in conducting a research project, “Higher Hope, Greater Success: Investigation of the Role of Hope to Successful Aging among Older Adults” (Project No. R1051). The appointees shall mainly be responsible for the following:

assisting in the data collection process;

compiling data and research findings;
-
performing analysis by using statistical software such as SPSS;
-
assisting in report writing and results presentation; and
-
providing assistance in areas related to the research project.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:

full-time undergraduates of the University, preferably in the psychology or social sciences discipline;

research experience is preferable but not essential;
-
knowledge and skills in statistical software (e.g., SPSS) are a plus;
-
outstanding academic performance and a keen interest in psychological or aging research;
-
good command of English and Chinese;
-
strong sense of responsibility, effective organization, and interpersonal skills; and
-
self-driven, positive attitude, and with a strong sense of responsibility.
Compensation Package
Successful candidates will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract at a rate of HK$65 per hour. They shall be required to work not more than 17 hours per week during the period of their appointment which will be from March 2021 to December 2021. The working days and hours shall be agreed upon between the appointee and the principal investigator. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions if applicable.
