    Online course selection for the 2020 Summer Term – Add/drop of courses 2020-05-19

    Dear Student,

     

    The online course selection for add/drop courses for the 2020 Summer Term is scheduled from 25 May to 5 June 2020. You may SWAP, ADD or DROP your course(s) or class section(s) using specific functions at the Student Portal (MyOUHK > My Programme > Enrolment (UG)) during this period.

     

    Please review your course enrolment for the term with your “Advice on Course Selection”. If they are any courses not yet enrolled according to the prescribed study plan, you have to arrange the enrolment during the add/drop period*. Otherwise, your fulfilment of graduation requirements could be affected.

     

    Details are provided below. Please note that the two groups have different application methods, please use the respective functions for submission; otherwise, your application will not be processed.

    • “Add Course Enrolment” function
    • Swap Class / Course” function
    • You should ensure the class section(s) will not cause any time clash in your schedule, and the course(s) able to fulfil your graduation requirements.

    25 May (2:30 p.m.)

    5 June 2020 (5:00 p.m.)

    • Add retake full-time undergraduate course(s) with course result “Fail”
    • Add extra course(s) that are not prescribed for you in this term
    • Drop course(s)
    • Students should submit online for consideration and approval by Schools:
    • “Online ADD/DROP Form” function
    • Students should continue to follow the original class schedules until results are released.
    • Students should check the application results via the status of “Online ADD/DROP Form”, and the “Class Schedule” on the course(s) successfully added. Normally, results would be released online 10 working days after submission.
    • If you wish to retake course(s) in part-time (distance learning) mode, please collect an application form in person at the Admissions & Enrolment Office (Undergraduate) (Room C0514, Block C), to be submitted within the Add/Drop period.
    • Each student can only submit “Online ADD/DROP Form” once per term. No changes would be allowed after submission.
    • If your request for add/drop course(s) has been approved, you will not be allowed to transfer back to your original course(s) and class section(s).
    • You should ensure the class section(s) will not cause any time clash in your schedule, and the course(s) able to fulfil your graduation requirements.
    • Please pay attention to the requirements outlined in the “Important Notes” of “Online ADD/DROP Form” before submission.
    • Late applications will not be processed.

    For students who have applied for financial assistance schemes administered by Student Finance Office under the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA) in this academic year, please pay attention to the ceiling of the assistance (i.e. the maximum amount of grant / loan) in the current academic year. For details, please contact Student Affairs Office (SAO) of OUHK or browse the website of the WFSFAA at: www.wfsfaa.gov.hk.
