2020-09-14
Further to the announcement made by the University on the updated learning and teaching arrangement for Autumn Term of 2020/21 (click here for details), School of Arts and Social Sciences hereby announces the details of the School-based arrangement for postgraduate (PG) courses as below:
-
Both lectures and tutorials of PG courses will adopt mixed-mode teaching, i.e. classes will be delivered in both real-time online mode and face-to-face mode simultaneously.
-
Lectures and tutorials will be conducted at the scheduled time.
-
Students could attend the real-time online classes via Zoom using the University email account at any places that are convenient to you. Students could also opt for attending the classes in person in the designated classrooms/lecture theatres.
-
Appropriate social distance will be kept in classrooms/lecture theatres as far as possible.
-
For students who are not residing in Hong Kong for the moment, it is not a must to physically present in the classes.
-
In case you plan to travel to Hong Kong to attend classes in person, please have due consideration of your personal situation and any health risks. Students should observe the up-to-date quarantine requirements imposed by the Hong Kong SAR Government.
The past nine months has brought great challenges upon students and citizens all over the world. We hope the above special arrangement would balance the safety of our students and the quality of learning and teaching. We look forward to seeing you online or on campus.
Stay vigilant and healthy.
