The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has recently launched a 'Go Further' brand campaign to celebrate the University's success in transforming itself from a distance-learning institute into a comprehensive and full-fledged university, providing both full-time undergraduate programmes for secondary school leavers and part-time programmes for adult learners. The campaign aims to illustrate the University's commitment to growth and excellence and share with the public a refreshed identity of the University.

In just three short decades, the OUHK has become the 6th largest university in Hong Kong in terms of full-time undergraduate student population, and is continuing to grow in size and scale in both its campus facilities and programme offerings. The University is also proud to take on research in different disciplines to enhance its academic standing. Without the commitment and 'can-do' spirit from everyone, the OUHK would not have achieved what it has today. The 'Go Further' slogan vividly describes the positivity and energy of OUHK today, and will be enriched with various visual elements, website and activities.

OUHK President Prof. Yuk-Shan Wong said, 'Everyone at the University is working hard to "Go Further", taking steps forward, breaking barriers and making achievements that were believed to be missions impossible before. We want to share our passion and commitment to growth with the public, so that they will know that even though we started with a humble beginning as a distance-learning institution, we have become a young, dynamic and innovative full-fledged university. We respond dynamically to market trends by offering programmes that meet the needs of the society, and we embrace changes proactively that take us to the forefront of modern education. We nurture our students with the same spirit, so that they become confident individuals that are willing to step beyond their comfort zones and become high-achievers.'

From today (25 April) until 28 April (Saturday), the campaign will begin with a roving promotion where a mobile truck will be stationed at various busy spots in the city to spread the ‘Go Further’ message. Members of the public are welcome to visit the truck and enjoy a virtual reality game to feel and taste the essence of the OUHK spirit. To learn more about the message, please visit gofurther.ouhk.edu.hk.
