  • Regulations for the Higher Diploma in Digital Communication

    Programme Information for New Students
      To facilitate your registration, check the course information by inputting the course code   
    These regulations are made under paragraphs 1 to 4 of the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications (Sub-degrees).

    In these regulations definitions shall apply as in the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications and in the Interpretation Section of the Academic Rules and Regulations.

    Higher Diploma in Digital Communication (HDDC)
    1. To be eligible for the award of the Higher Diploma in Digital Communication, a student shall:
      a) comply with the Regulations for Admission, Registration and Maintenance of Status; and
      b) comply with the Regulations for the Award of Sub-degree Qualifications (Sub-degrees); and
      c) obtain at least 90 credits in courses prescribed by the regulations including at least 10 credits from Higher level courses and no more than 10 credits at Pre-foundation level.
    2. For the Higher Diploma in Digital Communication, the University has prescribed that a student must:
      a) obtain 10 credits from courses labelled CE in Table 1; and
      b) obtain 10 credits from courses labelled FD in Table 1; and
      c) obtain 50 credits from compulsory courses labelled CP in Table 1; and
      d) obtain 20 credits from courses labelled OP in Table 1

    4. Successful completion of ELEC S322 is considered as completion of ELEC S323.
       
    5. Successful completion of ELEC S202 is considered as completion of ELEC S222 and ELEC S225.
       
    6. Successful completion of IT L150 or MGT L162 is considered as completion of IT E150.
