    You are advised to have already studied ACY B805F, ACY B807F and ACY B810F.

    This course aims to enhance students’ ability to comprehend business from a strategic perspective. It provides the fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills in strategy and leadership that accountants need to make quality decisions for developing sustainable competitive advantage for their organizations.

    The course covers the following topics:

    • Core concepts and analytical framework

    • Analysing the external environment

    • Analysing the internal environment

    • Business, corporate and global strategies

    • Developing and evaluating strategies

    • Strategic implementation

    • Leadership and strategy

    Contact hours
    Normally two to three hours per week.

    There are three course assignments which account for 60% of the total course score, and class participation accounts for another 10%. The external examination offered by CPA Australia accounts for the remaining 30% of the total course score.
