    The course aims to further enhance students’ ability to fully engage with business and management theories and their applications in a real-world context. By working independently on an applied business project, students will be able to show their ability to integrate knowledge and skills from they learnt from the post-graduate programme and past learning experience to address a specified managerial problem or business opportunity in a real world context. Students will have the opportunity to demonstrate creative and innovative skills in the investigation of business and management issue.

    The course covers the following topics:

    • Identifying an Idea for a Business Project: How to Get Started?

    • Business Analysis Tools & Practice

    • Evidence Collection and Investigation Plan

    • Action Plan, Ethical Issues and Business Report

    Contact hours
    There will be a total of twelve lecture hours plus consultation hours over three terms.

    There are five assignments. The first four assignments are written assignments and account for 80% of the total course score. The last assignment is in the form of an oral presentation and is a compulsory assignment. It accounts for 20% of the total course grade. Students are required to submit assignments via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).

    There is no set textbook selected for this course. However, to support and facilitate your learning, selected readings which include book chapters and journal articles will be recommended to you under different study topics.
