From requesting information to responding to enquiries, office staff are expected to have good English writing skills, yet many lack confidence in their English proficiency. To address such a need, the OUHK has released an interactive iPad and iPad mini app, now available in the App Store.
If you are unsure as to what vocabulary and language are suitable for business communication, how to write up the minutes of a meeting or what the best format for a business letter is, you will find the answers here. You will learn about the essential forms of business writing: emails, memos, business letters and minutes. At the end of each chapter you can do the interactive exercises to test yourself.
Finally, the concluding chapter addresses some of the particular areas of difficulty that Chinese speakers have when they write in English, as well as how to avoid the most common errors.
