Cabinet 'Versatile' elected to the sixth Students' Union

versatileAt the polling held on 6-7 March, the cabinet 'Versatile' was elected to the Executive Committee of the sixth OUHK Students' Union, while five candidates were elected to be members of the Union's Council. An inauguration ceremony took place on 19 April in Serena Yang Lecture Theatre, with Mr William Ho, Director and Senior Consultant of Graval Limited, officiating. President Prof. John C Y Leong and Registrar Ms Sylvia Hui were invited as guests of honour. The new Students' Union President, Delison Chan, elaborated on both the cabinet's Chinese name, meaning 'to collect and be prosperous'; and its English name 'Versatile,' meaning 'flexible and responsive'. In the year ahead, he and his team plan to collect opinions and gather strength from students, so as to protect students' interests, improve their welfare and enhance the learning environment, thereby creating a rich university life. Mr Chan further said that the Union's primary task was to reorganize its structure in order to enhance the efficiency of operations.
