Postgraduate programmes in global and public governance
The OUHK will launch three face-to-face postgraduate programmes in global and public governance in October. They are the Master of Social Sciences in Global and Public Governance (60 credits), Postgraduate Diploma in Global and Public Governance (40 credits) and Postgraduate Certificate in Global and Public Governance (20 credits). These three inter-disciplinary programmes are designed to enrich and sharpen students’ academic knowledge and skills essential for the comprehension of complex global and local issues, and should also provide students with the tools to solve complex problems which transcend the limits of any single discipline. Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized tertiary education institution or the equivalent.

    BSc (Hons) in Web Technologies
The OUHK and Caritas Francis Hsu College will jointly offer a full-time face-to-face top-up programme in Web technologies beginning in September. The two-year Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Web Technologies is designed to provide students with the knowledge and techniques necessary to develop Web-based information systems and other similar systems. The programme is open to holders of an Associate Degree/Higher Diploma in a computing subject or a directly related area from a recognized institution. It offers the option of a one-year early exit with a Bachelor of Science in Web Technologies Degree.

Postgraduate and certificate programmes in engineering

The Doctor of Engineering is a professional doctorate programme intended for engineering professionals wishing to pursue a profession-oriented research project leading to a doctorate degree. Admitted students will be required to complete 40 or more credits of course work before proceeding to the research project. A typical part-time student will spend two years to complete the course work and another two years to conduct research and write the thesis. The programme will admit students twice a year, in April and October. The minimum entry requirement is a Master’s Degree in Engineering or Science. Prospective students can visit the programme webpage at http://sct.ouhk.edu.hk/engsc/deng/ for more information.

The Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering by distance learning is a partnership between China Aircraft Services Limited (CASL) and the OUHK to provide education and training opportunities to CASL aircraft maintenance staff and to prepare them to sit for the Civil Aviation Department’s HKAR–66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence examinations (Categories A and B1). The certificate also provides for an articulation pathway to the BSc (Hons)/BSc in Engineering Mechanics, Materials and Design; and the BSc (Hons)/BSc in Product Design and Technology programmes at the OUHK. The programme will be launched in October. For details, please visit http://sct.ouhk.edu.hk/engsc/came.
