    OUHK votes on Students' Union

Open Union has won the Students' Union (SU) election, gaining more than 55% of the votes cast. It will serve from 1 August 2008 to 31 March 2009. 324 OUHK students voted in person (with two invalid ballot papers) at the Bank of China Lecture Theatre on 19 July, choosing between two options, Open Union or Unique. Ballots were counted immediately after the close of voting at 7 pm, under the supervision of Prof. Ho Kin-chung, Chair of the Convening Group which advised on the reorganization of the SU. Mr Raymond Chan, Chair of the SU Preparatory Committee, thanked volunteers and Registry staff for making the election open and fair, as well as acknowledging the invaluable support and guidance received rom the OUHK Council and President Prof. John C Y Leong. SU President Wong Tze invited students to join its subcommittees to continue to fight for the welfare of students.
