Online Master's programme in Chinese Business Law (English) starts global enrolment

A new online programme leading to a Master of Laws in Chinese Business Law (Business Applications), and due to start in October this year, is available for global enrolment now. Presented in English, it is offered by the OUHK's Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration and is supported by senior members of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Gallant Y T Ho & Co, Solicitor & Notaries. Similar to its Chinese-language version launched last year, the programme caters for the needs of business professionals engaged in Chinese-foreign joint ventures, and managers and proprietors of non-government organizations as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. It emphasizes practical applications of Chinese business law from cross-border and comparative perspectives and provides students with fundamental knowledge of the legal frameworks underpinning commercial operations within and outside China.

Capitalizing on the flexibility of e-learning, the programme can be undertaken by learners from all over the world. The web-based presentation integrates components such as online course materials, synchronized presentations/tutorials, video-taped seminars, real-time online lectures and discussion boards, online collaboration tools, an e-library and reference resources. Students can access the course materials on the Web any time and from anywhere through the Internet, interact with the teaching staff, and communicate with course-mates to share and exchange their learning experiences.

Applicants should have a recognized Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration or related fields, or equivalent academic qualifications. The programme courses may also be taken singly or for early exit at the postgraduate certificate level.
