    Course Coordinators:

    The course aims to equip students with analytical tools to solve problems relating to corporate financial and risk management. It equips students with the skills necessary for making rational financial and risk decisions.

    The course covers the following topics:

    • Overview of corporate finance

    • Investment decisions: Capital budgeting

    • Cost of capital and capital structure of a firm

    • Corporate financing decisions: Working capital management

    • Corporate financing decisions: Dividend policy and patterns of financing

    • Other topics in corporate finance

    • Risk management: Part I

    • Risk management: Part II

    Contact hours
    Normally five hours per week.

    There are two assignments, class participation and one examination. The assignments accounts for 30% of the total course score, the class participation accounts for 10% of the total course score and the examination accounts for 60% of the total course score. Students are required to submit assignments via the Online Learning Environment (OLE).
