    Introduction

    The Bachelor of International Hospitality and Attractions Management with Honours is a 4-year degree programme. Applicants can apply for admission to Year 1 or Senior Year.

    # SSSDP subsidy is not applicable to non-local applicants/students of this programme.
    * Applicants will be considered for admission to different years of the study programme depending on individual academic merits and other relevant factors. Senior year entry applicants/students of this programme are NOT eligible for subsidy under SSSDP.

     

    Entry Requirement

     

    Aims

    The programme is designed to provide high quality education in theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in various aspects of hospitality and attractions management for those who wish to pursue or further advance their careers at managerial level in the hospitality industry.

    The programme helps students acquire knowledge and skills up to professional level strengthening their knowledge of general management in hotel, attractions and tourism areas, nurturing and providing various opportunities to sharpen their creative thinking, problem-solving techniques, and other generic skills. It develops in students sound professional knowledge in various disciplines of management studies and managerial thinking, which are deemed necessary for their intellectual and social well-being and, more importantly, for excelling in a supervisory position in the hospitality industry.

    Career prospects

    Graduates can find work in conference, hotel, attractions and event management in the hospitality field. They can also apply their skills in careers such as customer relations, sales and business development, facilities management and food service management within the recreation, travel and tourism and food and beverage sectors.

    Further studies

    Opportunities are available for the graduates of this programme to pursue postgraduate studies in Hong Kong and abroad. Students may continue to study for a hospitality-related master degree, a Master of Business Administration or other master degrees in business-related areas.

    Student activities

    Business students selected for Alibaba e-commerce training programme

    In January 2016, 18 full-time students from the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration were selected for an e-commerce training programme — co-organized by the Hong Kong Netrepreneurs Association, the Alibaba Group and the Unleash Foundation — to prepare them for local e-business opportunities. The five-day programme covered starting up business on the Alibaba platform, cross-border logistics and market analysis. All the students were offered internship opportunities in small and medium enterprises.
