Ho Sik Yee Library
An ideal place for study and collaborative work

The new branch library, Ho Sik Yee Library, commenced service in March. The Library, with a total gross floor area of about 1,350 square meters, is located on the fifth floor of Jubilee College. It took advantage of the characteristics of the building layout by creating distinct spaces for information searching and reading to cater for the needs of different types of library users.

The Library provides over 280 seats, including single study carrels, reading tables and sofas, to meet the varying study and research needs of users. New facilities like Group Study Rooms and an Audio Visual Room, where students can enjoy audio-visual materials, have been provided to meet the demand for collaboration and group workspaces among students.

To support the learning and teaching activities of Jubilee College, Ho Sik Yee Library holds the collections of Fine Arts and Medicine. Library materials are stored in electronic compact shelves that take up less space than traditional bookshelves. More facilities can thus be provided in the same space. Upon entering the library, users will see the new books and latest issues of journals displayed prominently on an eye-catching feature wall opposite the library entrance. Other facilities and equipment available to users include Internet stations, Wireless LAN and multimedia facilities, creating a convenient environment in which users are able to access different types of resources.
