Scholars and experts discuss issues related to ecology and preservation

Dozens of local and overseas scholars and experts gathered at the OUHK on 27–30 May to discuss various ecological issues at the International Conference on ‘Biodiversity and Conservation of Wetland in South China — From Preservation to Green Development.’ Co-organized by the OUHK’s School of Science and Technology and China–U.S. Eco-Partnership (Wetland Research), the conference included several keynote speeches, a young scientist forum, a roundtable meeting and technical visits. OUHK President Prof. Yuk-Shan Wong welcomed participants at the opening ceremony, while Dean of the School of Science and Technology Prof. Ho Kin-chung delivered a speech on ‘Future Development of Land Resources in Hong Kong: Dilemma and Challenges’ later in the conference.
