    Policy on Equal Opportunities

With the Amendment to the Sex Discrimination Ordinance (SDO) under which sexual harassment in the educational setting was made unlawful, the University reviewed its Policy on Equal Opportunities, last revised in February 2003, and approved an updated version which, having incorporated the salient features of the said Amendment, is available at https://student.intranet.ouhk.edu.hk/main/eoo-eng.html.

All members, employees and students of the University should observe the Policy on Equal Opportunities.  They may be personally liable under the law for acts committed by them.  Indeed, all should be proactive in helping to eliminate unlawful acts of harassment, discrimination, vilification or victimisation by becoming familiar with and being sensitive to the issues, and by ensuring that standards of conduct for themselves do not cause offence.

For enquiries, please contact Mr S S Tam, the Equal Opportunities Officer, at telephone no. 2768-6315, or Ms Annie Chan at telephone no. 2768-6317 [eoo@ouhk.edu.hk].
