Financial Support for Research Paper Publication

The University offers a grant for language editing and publication fees of journal articles and edited book chapters. The grant aims to encourage staff to actively participate in research activities and publication of their findings, so as to enhance their professional and academic standing and help them to gain recognition for their scholarly works. Full time staff who are the sole author or the first (or corresponding) author of an article to be submitted to a refereed journal or an edited book are eligible to apply for the grant. The application form should be duly completed according to the guidelines specified. Applicants may download the guidelines and application form from the following links:

Guidelines on Financial Support for Research Paper Publication
As there are now a large number of fake, unrecognized or predatory publishers, applicants are strongly encouraged to be vigilant when selecting publishers to publish their research articles. If any academic puts an article published with such a publisher in his or her curriculum vitae, s/he draws serious doubts on his/her credentials and may get into serious trouble. Academics are reminded to be especially careful if the publisher asked for a publication fee, though many respectable publishers also charge publication fees. The following link provides useful information for identifying/avoiding predatory journals or publishers.
