Note(3) Bursary recipients taking postgraduate course(s) will only be allocated partial bursary for the approved course(s). Note(5) Applicants do not need to pay the tuition fees to reserve the course places (but not the specific class section). The financial situation of the applicants and the family members living together with the applicant will be assessed. In general, the bursaries are offered for applicants with lower disposable income, which is calculated by taking the total family income less certain permitted deductions (e.g. rent, medical costs, school fees, dependent allowance, subsistence allowance, etc.), dividing it by the number of eligible family members.
Eligible applicants are not guaranteed to be offered bursaries.
Assessment will be made and considered by the OUHK Student Financial Awards Committee. The type of assistance offered to individual successful applicants and the number of successful applicants is determined by the applicants’ financial circumstances, the funds available in the term concerned, the requirements specified by donors and others factors that the Committee considers necessary.
The assessment of disposable income will be conducted in a yearly basis, i.e. applicants are only required to provide the financial information and proof once in a year.
