    Open InnoChallange: Unleash your creativity and potential via up to HK$100,000 implementation fund!

     

     

    Open InnoChallenge (OIC) is a brand-new endeavor organized by Student Affairs Office (SAO) aiming to unleash students’ creativity and innovation; and enhance students’ entrepreneurial skills to translate the innovative ideas “into viable operation” for profit or for social good.

     

    There are 3 stages under OIC:

     

    Stage 1: Interactive Training (September 2017 to February 2018)

    Inspire and assist participants to work out an innovative and feasible project via a series of out-of-the-classroom training

     

    Stage 2: Idea Competition (March to May 2018)

    Let participants compete for the Implementation Fund

     

    Stage 3: Project Implementation (June 2018 to June 2019)

    Grant up to HK$100,000 Implementation Fund to each awarded project team for their project execution

     

    Eligible Applicants

    All OUHK full-time or part-time* students and recent graduates# are eligible to apply for enrollment in the Programme.

    *Part-time students who enrolled any courses from academic year 2016/17 onwards are eligible.

    #Alumni graduated in academic year 2016/17 are eligible.

     

    Application Details

    The applicants should submit their application via online form on OIC website (www.ouhk.edu.hk/sao/oic)

    Deadline of Early Bird Application: March 2018

    Deadline of Programme Application: April 2018

    Details will be announced by early 2018.

     

    Assessment Criteria

    • Originality and Creativity
    • Potential Social or Community Impact
    • Implementation Feasibility / Potential to be a Sustainable or Scalable Business
    • Team Capability

     

    Prize

    • Implementation Fund up to HK$100,000 per awarded project
    • Highly subsidized overseas tour for the awarded project teams to visit offshore social enterprises (Limited seats will be provided to each awarded team subject to the total number of awarded project teams)

     

    A series of activities and information sessions will be arranged and programme details will be announced soon. Please pay attention to the updates in our website.
