    Photo Requirements and File Format

    Photo Requirements
    • taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance;
    • taken against a plain (preferably pink) background;
    • show your full frontal face with clear facial features and without sunglasses and/or head covering.
    File Format of Digital Photo
    • Image format: JPEG
    • File size: 600 Kbytes or below
    • Image resolution: 300 dpi
    • Image dimension:
      • Size of photo captured by scanner: 40mm (width) x 50mm (height)
      • Size of image captured by digital camera: 1200 pixels (width) x 1600 pixels (height)
     Photo Submission Methods

    You can submit your photo by one of the following ways. Please note that you can submit it once only, so please pay attention to the photo requirements, file format and Important Notes before your submission.
    1. MyOUHK
    1. Login to “MyOUHK” (http://www.ouhk.edu.hk/myouhk-e). Before your first logon, please follow the instruction there to create your single password.
    2. Select your programme of study under “My Programme”.
    3. Select “Photo Submission” under “Student Records (PT/PG/UG)”.
    4. Click the “Go to Photo Submission” button to start the process.
    1. OUHK Student Mobile App
    1. Login to "OUHK Student Mobile App". The latest version of "OUHK Student Mobile App" is available through App Store and Google Play.
    2. Select “Photo Submission” to start the process.
    Important Notes
    1. Your photo will form part of your student record which will be used for the purposes of student and University administration.
    2. The University reserves the right to accept the photo or not. You may be asked to re-submit it if it does not reflect your appearance clearly.
    3. The Student Identity Card is an important proof of identity for using the OUHK facilities and for your attendance at classes/examinations. Please note that if we do not receive your photo or your photo submitted does not meet the requirements, the University will not be able to provide you with the Student Identity Card.
