    • Programme validation and review
     
    The QAO supports the implementation of quality assurance procedures in relation to the validation of all new award-bearing programmes and review of existing programmes. The QAO coordinates the Programme Review and Validation Committee (PRVC) meetings in which proposals on new programmes and revalidation submissions of existing programmes are considered. The QAO also coordinates the Internal Validation Committee (IVC) meetings in which programme matters and school reports are considered.
     
    • Course review
     
    The QAO supports the Internal Validation Committee (IVC) to ensure that all new credit-bearing courses follow the required quality assurance procedures for approval and review before their presentations. The QAO also supports review of School reports on course presentations by the IVC on an annual basis, to identify issues or propose any changes on academic policies to the Senate.
     
    • Surveys
     
    • Course evaluation survey
     
    The QAO assists Schools and Course Coordinators to carry out Course and Teaching Evaluation Survey towards the end of every course’s presentation in a term. The QAO also disseminates survey results after each course evaluation exercise. In addition, the QAO compiles summary reports to help School Deans identify teaching and learning issues that require early handling or intervention.
     
    • Student experience survey
     
    The QAO carries out Student Experience Survey every year to understand the learning needs of our students during their first year of study. The QAO also disseminates survey results to School Deans to help them identify issues for early handling or intervention.
     
    • Graduate surveys
     
    The QAO collects feedback from fresh graduates every year through the annual graduate survey. The QAO also supports Schools and programme teams in conducting survey with past graduates to collect their feedback towards individual programmes upon programme revalidation every five or six years.
     
    • Employer surveys
     
    The QAO collects feedback from employers to evaluate the extent to which the graduates have achieved the learning outcomes of an individual propramme, upon programme revalidation every five or six years.
     
    • Maintenance of programme and course data for public access
     
    The QAO maintains OUHK programme information on the Qualifications Register and facilitates the registration of the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) reimbursable courses, by liaising with Schools and other relevant external parties such as the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ) and the Office of CEF. The QAO also ensures accuracy of OUHK data presented in external platforms (such as CONCOURSE) or requested by the EDB and the HKCAAVQ.
