My name is Alina and I come from Moscow, Russia. I started my academic and professional career in international affairs. As an undergraduate, I majored in diplomacy and took a keen interest in foreign languages. I have gained considerable academic experience that aids me in developing a better understanding and perspective of global issues; challenging the established views and shining a light into the dark corners of today’s complex problems. I enjoy diversity and strive toward building cultural bridges. And I currently work on my master degree in Intelligence and International Security.
I served in different countries such as Italy, Germany, and Vietnam to help students achieve their educational goals and coached adolescents struggling with international exams. I personally desire to see this young generation rise to their ultimate potential. I’d love to share my experience with fellows at Hong Kong and learn from their relevant experiences and successes!
My name is Nicole and I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the United States. I love reading and writing poems and novels, particularly fantasy and science fiction. I also enjoy binge watching movies and TV shows. A few of my favorite titles are Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Twilight Zone and A.I. Artificial Intelligence. As an undergraduate, I majored in Political Science and am currently working toward an MA degree in Communications. Some other interests I have include hiking, traveling and studying Japanese. I have had the pleasure of teaching English to students in the US, Japan and Vietnam and am excited to continue this passion here in Hong Kong!
