    Student Information System


    e-Registration System (eReg)

    The eRegistration system is a robust system for online programme, course and class registration. This system is highly integrated with Student Administration System (SAS) and provides a one-stop service for applicants/students from data input, class schedule, quota enquiry to complete online payment transaction. Applicants/students can perform the following action via the system.

    • View course information
    • View class schedule and quota information
    • Add interested course to "My Selection"
    • Submit new application
    • Make payment electronically or request debit note
    • Retrieve saved/submitted applications


    Course Selection and Scheduling System (CSSS)

    Course Selection and Scheduling System is a major self-service for full-time students under MyOUHK portal. Through this service, full-time students can search for classes and plan their course roadmap. The students are led to transactions such as add, or swap courses so that they can successfully complete their enrollment without opening new windows or going to another location on MyOUHK portal.



    Student Administration System (SAS)

    Student Administration System (SAS) is a comprehensive ERP suite designed for higher education institutions.  This system manages different critical student activities like admission, records, enrollment, grading and graduation. It also provides students, alumni, faculty and staff with immediate access to real-time information and connects that information to specific action. The existing SAS consists of the following major modules:

    • Admission
    • Student Records
    • Enrollment
    • Assessment
    • Exam Management
    • Advisement
    • Graduation
    • Certificate & Transcript


    Time-tabling and Room Booking System (TRBS)


    Time-tabling and Room Booking System is mainly for room reservation for tutorial classes or other non-teaching meetings.  Also, it provides some facilities for timetable printing and related processes.  The following are different parts of the system.

    • Resource and Security Setting
    • Room Booking
    • Timetabling
    • Data Transfer (from SPlus / to SAS Schedule)
    • Venue Payment
    • Reporting


    Administrative System(i.e. Oracle Finance, HRMS)




    Oracle Finance Systems

    The Oracle Financials system is Oracle’s EBS product. It comprises of ledger, purchasing and payable modules, providing up-to-date financial information to Finance Unit through a user-friendly graphical user interface.



    Oracle Human Resources Management System (HRMS)

    The HRMS is a mission-critical ERP system that aims to streamline human resources and payroll in line with best practice.  The system is Oracle’s EBS product. The system consists of the following core modules:

    • Recruitment
    • Workforce Administration
    • Base Benefit
    • Training Administration
    • Staff Development
    • Leave and Absence
    • Payroll




    E-leave System

    E-leave System provides an electronic platform for staff to submit online leave applications. The application is made through HRMS, staff has to fill in the following information:

    • Personal Information
    • Leave Balance
    • Shift duty
    • Period of leave
    • Recommending officer
    • Approving officer




    Other Information Systems




    Information Centre System

    The Information Centre System runs on a package called Customer Interaction Centre. It is used by the agents of PAU, LiPACE and ITU hotline for their customer support. The system provides an all-in-one communication box for the followings:

    • PABX
    • IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System)
    • ACD (Automatic Communication Distribution)
    • Unified Messaging




    Staff e-learning System

    The Staff eLearning System is a web package called wizBank. It provides a round the clock eLearning platform for staff. It covers the following areas:

    • Planning and managing online and instructor-led courses
    • Online enrolment
    • Course delivery through web and tracking of student performance
    • Collaboration tools such as bulletin board and discussion forum
    • Statistical and managerial reports
    • Integration with HRMS for record keeping


    Digital Signage System

    The package provides facilities for PAU to broadcast University news and announcement through the LCDs located in the campuses to visitors, staff and students. Class Schedule is also displayed for students’ easy reference.



    Student and Staff Access Control System for Library and PC laboratory

    The Access Control System integrates with HRMS and Student System to control staff and student access to Library and PC laboratories.
