    Events and Activities

    IIBG has been organizing the series of events and activities listed below to enhance the research interests and output, and share major findings with various stakeholders, including the academics, students, members of business communities and the general public. It is expected that the events and activities would be beneficial to these stakeholders by:
    • Stimulating closer research collaboration between Hong Kong and the international academic world and, more importantly, deepen knowledge creation and sharing among the academics in a global context;
    • Keeping students and members of business communities abreast of the latest issues, knowledge and insights related to international business and governance;
    • Facilitating members of business communities to observe the growing demand for organizational governance, as well as to explore global business opportunities by developing better business policies and strategies; and
    • Enhancing the general public’s awareness of corporate governance and their understanding on its importance and implications.
    1. Annual Academia-Industry Exchange
    (Target audiences: overseas and local academics and business practitioners)
    Purpose: events and activities for exchanging the latest research ideas and findings
    • Academic Conference on : Competing in an Innovation-Driven Global Economy: Institutions, Infrastructures, and Organization Design
    • Practitioners' Conference on: Strengthening Innovation Capability for Global Competitiveness

    • Conference on: Ethics, Responsible Business and Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities for Transformation and Growth
    • Symposium on: International Business, Innovation & Governance: Shaping the Futures of Smart Economy
    2. Research Seminars
    (Target audiences: academics of the OUHK)
    Purpose: Research seminars for stimulating new ideas and collaborations in research, and sharing of business implications for international business and governance
    • In-house research seminars (tailor-made for academics)
    • Open seminars (open to all)
    3. Workshops
    (Target audiences: members of business communities)
    Purpose: knowledge-sharing workshops for updating senior executives in business communities on issues, knowledge and insights related to international business and governance
    • Executive training workshops (sharing of knowledge and insights by Distinguished Professors and senior academic staff of the OUHK)
    • Research workshops (sharing of important research findings and insights by research teams)
    4. Public lectures
    (Target audiences: all stakeholders)
    Purpose: public lectures for sharing latest trends, issues, and insights by business elites, Distinguished Professors and senior academic staff of the OUHK
