    Background of the Exhibition Gallery
     
     
    The Exhibition Gallery is located on 1/F, Block D of OUHK Jockey Club Campus (JCC).  It has been fitted out to be an exhibition area of about 40 sq. m (~20m W x 2m H) for displaying drawings, paintings, and artworks by our Student Societies and Schools/Units, students of neighboring schools or artists from non-profit making associations in the vicinity.  It renders a platform for promoting indigenous community artworks to bolster up the salubrious campus, on a par with the liaison enhancement with the community.

    Use of the Exhibition Gallery
     
    2.1
     
    Target Users
     
     
    The Exhibition Gallery is designated for providing an exhibition area for two-dimensional paintings, drawings or multi-media artworks, etc.  Our target users are Student Societies and Schools/Units of the OUHK, other educational institutions/schools, NGOs, non-profit making associations; as well as individual artists in the Campus vicinity.
     
    2.2
     
    Priority for Use
     
     
    1st priority – Student Societies and Schools/Units of OUHK.
     
    2nd priority – Non-profit making associations in the local districts.
     
    3rd priority – Other applicants would be considered on a first-come-first-served basis.
     
    2.3
     
    Opening Hours
     
     
    The Exhibition Gallery opens daily from 9:00 am to 12:00 am, except special circumstances such as maintenance and extra-ordinary adverse weather.
     
    2.4
     
    Exhibition Period
     
     
    The duration of each exhibition would be 4 weeks in general and subject to an extension of maximum 3 months provided that there is no applicant on the waiting list.
     
    2.5
     
    Fees and Charges
     
     
    Use of the Exhibition Gallery is free of any fees or charges.

    Application
     
     
    Applicants can complete the application form and submit it to the Room Booking & Event Support Team of FMU, by hand, mail or e-mail not less than 2 months before the exhibition commencement date.  Only one application from each exhibitor (either personal entity/NGOs/Non-profit making Association) will be accepted each time and duplicated submissions will not be considered.  Applicants are  requested to pay attention to “Terms and Condition for Submission of Display Material” before submitting the application form to FMU Room Booking & Event Support Team.

    Management of the Exhibition Gallery
     
     
    The OUHK FMU Room Booking & Event Support Team will be responsible for the daily management of the Exhibition Gallery.  On-site security guards will monitor the process of installation and dismantling of the display works by the exhibitor.  OUHK will not be responsible for any damage or loss of artworks which may arise during the display period.
