The facilities for special educational needs located inside the Stanley Ho Library, are donated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, The S. K. Yee Medical Foundation and The Sir Robert Ho Tung Charitable Fund. The equipment can help students with disabilities or special educational needs in their studies.
Besides using the equipment at the Library during Library opening hours, students can also borrow some items for home use. The University has also placed some equipment at the Hong Kong Blind Union, providing another venue for access.
Requests for special arrangements should be made by calling (852) 2768-6634 before the beginning of a semester. The Student Affairs Office is responsible for the overall coordination and provision of this service. Although there are limited facilities available in-house, we can always call on the assistance of other organizations such as the Hong Kong Blind Union or the Hong Kong Society for the Deaf.
