Retake Application for Undergraduate Students (2022 Autumn Term)

(Adding retake undergraduate and/or part-time (distance learning) course(s))

The adding retake course period for the 2022 Autumn Term is scheduled from 11-15 July 2022. If you plan to retake course(s) with course result ‘Fail’ in the 2022 Autumn Term, you may apply using the “Retake Application” function via MyHKMU (Programme > Classes & Enrolment > Enrolment -UG) during this period.

Add retake course(s) to replace full-time undergraduate courses with “Fail” grade

Students should submit online for consideration and approval by Schools:

You may check the full-time undergraduate courses and distance-learning courses planned to be offered in the course list. The course information are tentative and subject to change without prior notice.
Students should check the application results via the status of “Retake Application”, and the “Class Schedule” on the course(s) successfully added. Normally, finalized results would be released online 1 – 2 weeks before the commencement of 2022 Autumn Term (i.e. 5 September 2022). The University will announce by email after all applications are processed.
You may refer to the User Guide showing you how to complete the form.

Retake application will be considered on a case-by-case basis, subject to factors including availability of course and/or group places, your class schedule, the fulfilment of prerequisite requirements and School’s approval. Normally, students approved to retake would be enrolled to any available classes of courses.

Details of tuition fees arrangements are provided in the Tuition Fees webpage. If you have incurred any outstanding tuition fees balances from the retake course(s) successfully enrolled, you will be informed of the payment details in October 2022 (except non-local students requiring student visa renewal/extension to continue with their studies. These students will be asked to settle tuition fees in August 2022 after they have submitted their retake application). You are required to settle the balances before the stipulated deadline. Otherwise, you will be de-registered from the University.

If you have missed the retake application period, you could still submit an application during the add/drop period of the term. Students are advised to submit an application during the retake application period before the term, such that if the applications are approved and course(s) successfully enrolled, students could start the courses immediately after term start.

Notes to Non-local students

If you are a non-local student, you must have a valid student visa / entry permit to retake course(s) in the 2022 Autumn Term. You will be required to provide the proof of your settlement of the tuition fees for the coming term.

If your student visa will be expired soon, please contact Admissions Team 2 months before the expiry date to apply for a letter of certification for your student visa / entry permit renewal.
If your student visa has been expired, you must submit a new application for your student visa / entry permit to Admissions Team immediately.
