Suspension of IT Services from 15 to 16 October 2021 (Power Inspection)

Dear Colleagues,
Kindly note that the 5-year statutory inspection of electrical installations in Block A & B (Main Campus) shall be conducted by FFMO this year. During the inspection period, ITO will have to shut down all IT systems (both servers and network equipment) in Block A, B & C from 7:00 p.m., 15 October 2021 (Friday) to 11:59 a.m. (tentative), 16 October 2021 (Saturday).
During the period, all IT services will be suspended, including but not limited to websites, portal, Library System, emails, SharePoint sites, information systems, and E-library. However, the internet access and the WiFi service for student and classes support will be maintained until 10:00 p.m. The recovery of services will gradually take place in the morning of 16 Oct. 2021, and the affected services will resume as soon as possible, with internet access and the WiFi service for student by 10:00am tentatively.
Please note the following special arrangements will be made during the period:
- Access to HKMU Website will be redirected to a system maintenance web page.
- Incoming emails will be queued to ensure no email lost.
- PCLABs will still be opened according to their opening hours, but network services, such as internet access and printing, will not be available.
