Dear Students,
We hope you are well and you are getting ready for the new term this month.
In view of the latest developments of the COVID-19 epidemic situation, I am writing to give you an update on the learning and teaching arrangements for 2021 Spring Term, which has started on 8 February 2021 for part-time programmes; and will start on 16 February 2021# for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
# Classes of Bachelor of Education with Honours in Early Childhood Education (Leadership and Special Educational Needs) have started earlier. The School of Education and Languages should have informed relevant students separately.
1. Lectures and Tutorials
The University will continue to adopt mixed-mode teaching for the whole 2021 Spring Term, that is, lectures will be delivered by real-time interactive mode by using Zoom, and tutorials will be delivered by both real-time interactive mode AND face-to-face mode simultaneously.
As in the previous term, students have the option of attending the tutorials in person while maintaining social distancing in the classroom or attending the online tutorials. As online teaching is available for all classes, non-local students are not required to be physically present in Hong Kong for the 2021 Spring term. Non-local students should decide their travel plan according to their personal situation and closely monitor the quarantine requirements imposed by the Hong Kong SAR Government. Non-local students are welcome to consult the latest information on Covid-19 website.
