Library Borrowing Service Enhancements
As part of the Library’s continuous effort to enhance our services to better support your learning and research, the Library is pleased to announce that the enhanced borrowing services are already in place, with bigger loan quota, longer loan period and other associated services. Details as follows:
1. New loan quota, loan period, and hold quota

Renewals can be made at any time, unless the borrowed items have reached maximum loan periods or have been requested by another borrower.
Users may place holds on loaned items and will be notified to collect the items from the Library within 7 days.
The hold service will lead to a recall of loaned items. Once an item is recalled, the borrower will receive email notice and will be required to return the recalled item in 14 days or by the due date, whichever comes earlier.
5. Grace period
A grace period of 3 days for normal loans and recalled loans is also implemented. No penalty will be imposed if loaned items are returned within the grace period. If books are returned after the grace period, fines would be counted from the original due date.
