Dear Colleagues,
To comply with audit requirements, a shutdown and startup drill of computer servers and network equipment at the Main Campus (MC) is required. It is going to be held from 10:00 p.m., 30 Oct. 2020 (Friday) to 12:00 p.m. (tentative), 31 Oct. 2020 (Saturday).
During the period, all IT services will be suspended, including but not limited to websites, portal, Library System, emails, SharePoint sites, Internet, Wi-Fi, information systems, E-library, and OLE. The recovery of services will gradually take place in the morning of 31 Oct. 2020, and the affected services will resume as soon as possible.
Please note the following special arrangements will be made during the period:
- Access to OUHK Website will be redirected to a system maintenance web page.
- Incoming emails will be queued to ensure no email lost.
- PCLABs will still be opened according to their opening hours, but network services, such as internet access and printing, will not be available.
