Creative arts students experience Korean art and culture in Seoul study tour

Details: Actions speak louder than words for learning art and culture. Thirty students from the Animation and Visual Effects and Creative Advertising and Media Design programmes participated in the “Art and Cultural Study Tour in Seoul” organized by the School of Arts and Social Sciences between 6th and 11th January 2020. During the tour, students were able to gain an in-depth understanding of South Korea’s art and culture and enhance their knowledge about the creative industries through the visit to various art and culture related places, including Korea National University of Arts, Chuncheon Animation Museum and National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. In addition, the School specially arranged a “Stamp Workshop” at Paju HEYRI Art Village, allowing the students to experience the unique culture in a village surrounding with artistic atmosphere. The 6-day journey has deepened students’ appreciation of art and culture.
