Message for the OUHK Web users

The new OUHK portal uses Unicode(UTF-8) for displaying Chinese Characters.
Since the current version of your browser is not supporting Unicode properly, you may find difficulties in viewing our website.

(A) Please upgrade your browser to either IE 5.0 (or above) or Netscape 6.1 (or above).

(B) Please follow the steps below:

1. At Menu "Edit --> Preferences --> Font" Select encoding to Unicode.
2. Set Variable Width Font and Fixed Width Font as displayed.
3. Select "Use my default fonts, overriding document-specific fonts"

4. If you want to view Chinese, add "Chinese/Taiwan" Language in Language dialog box as displayed:

5. On the netscape menu, please select "View --> Character Set --> Unicode (UTF-8)"

6. For normal viewing of English website:
   On the netscape menu, please select "View --> Character Set --> Western (ISO-8859-1)"

7. For normal viewing of Chinese (Big5) website:
   On the netscape menu, please select "View --> Character Set --> "Traditional Chinese (Big5)"
